Event Description
Welcome to ADSCON 2025
Bonjour from Pondicherry, the land of the French Riviera on the East Coast of India!
We are pleased to extend our warm invitation to you to participate in the 6th National Conference on Day Care Surgery, which will be held at MGMCRI, Pondicherry - Organised by Association of Surgeons of India, Puducherry State Branch in collaboration with Department of Surgery, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Puducherry.
The theme of this year’s conference is
“Advancements in Ambulatory Surgery: Reducing Costs, Enhancing Patient Care”
As ambulatory or day care surgery continues to gain prime importance in surgical disciplines, we aim to explore its potential to reduce treatment costs and minimize prolonged hospitalization. Surgical disciplines are increasingly adopting the day care surgery concept, with significant benefits for both patients and healthcare systems.
This conference will highlight the equal importance of both surgical consultants and anaesthesiologists in the implementation and success of day care surgery. One of the key features of the conference will be a hands-on workshop on post-operative pain relief, including the Transverse Abdominis Plane (TAP) block and other regional blocks for reconstruction, with live demonstrations using ultrasound guidance.
We are excited to announce that national and international experts will present their insights through presentations and panel discussions on the merits of day care surgery in India. The conference has been accredited by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council.
International faculty members from the US, Europe, and the UK, with years of experience in day surgery, have graciously agreed to participate in this event. This marks the first time such a conference will be held in the Union Territory of Pondicherry, and we invite you to share your experiences, challenges, and progress in the field of day care surgery.
Additionally, there will be a session dedicated to paper/poster/video presentations and the Young Researcher Award, offering participants the chance to showcase their innovative research.
We look forward to welcoming you to this pioneering event and hope to see your active participation.
Warm Regards
