GASTROVIA - The Gut Instincts

“GASTROVIA – The Gut Instincts” - Undergraduate State Quiz has been organized under the Association of Physiologists of Tamil Nadu with the Primary intent of making the students aware of the dynamics of this long yet strong organ – the Gastrointestinal Tract.

The gut plays a pivotal role in bestowing the biological fuel to the body to maintain metabolic balance. Different segments of the GIT starting from the mouth to anus work in harmony to process food and to eliminate waste. Moreover the gut – being the home of numerous microbiota helps in maintaining health thereby preventing diseases.

GUT FEST – The quest to test your gutz

Under graduate quiz contest is conducted to involve students in active learning, to promote their knowledge search, to assess their understanding of the concept and to balance between success and failure. It also motivates them to accept challenges, fosters them to think critically, engages them in interaction and helps them to uphold the spirit of a healthy competition. This GUT FEST includes a preliminary written exam with questions of various types involving the digestive system and a final onstage quiz with exciting 10 roundsIm.

Important Rules and Guidelines:

Only One Team per College (with 50/100 MBBS Students) can participate in Prelims
Only Two Teams per College (with 150/250 MBBS Students) can participate in Prelims
Each Team will consist of Three First MBBS Students of 2024 – 2025 batch of same College.
No Cross teams (Change of team members within teams of same college or other college) allowed after registration.
