It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you all to the 2nd State Annual Conference of the Tamil Nadu Chapter - Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, to be held on 13th and 14th June 2026 at Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur.

This conference is organized with the aim of bringing together Physiatrists from across Tamil Nadu and other states, along with PMR postgraduate students, to share knowledge, experiences, and recent advances in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. It will serve as a vibrant platform for academic exchange, professional networking, and collaborative learning.

The theme of this year’s conference, “Reclaiming Function: From Shoulder to Fingertips,” highlights the critical importance of upper limb rehabilitation, emphasizing the journey from restoring proximal stability to achieving fine motor function and dexterity. Through scientific sessions, expert lectures, panel discussions, and case-based learning, we hope to explore innovative approaches and practical strategies that enhance functional recovery and improve the quality of life for our patients.

We are also pleased to host a Pre-Conference Workshop on 12th June 2026, featuring two hands-on workshops designed to strengthen clinical skills:

Nerve Conduction Study: Decode the nerve, retrain the muscle integrating nerve conduction studies and biofeedback in upper limb rehabilitation.

Ultrasound Imaging in Rehabilitation Practice: Beyond Blind injections – USG driven upper limb interventions.

These workshops aim to provide participants with valuable practical exposure and insights into diagnostic and interventional tools that are increasingly integral to modern physiatry practice.

In addition, a Quiz Session for PMR Postgraduates will be conducted, providing an engaging platform to test knowledge, encourage academic interaction, and foster a spirit of healthy competition among budding physiatrists.
